Welcome to the Mycorrhizal Network!
At the beginning of 2021, my parents made the bold decision to leave the city behind and return to the quiet, grounding rhythm of country life—essentially restarting their lives from the ground up. Their move wasn’t just a physical transition; it was a return to something deeper, something rooted.
Around that same time, I found myself going through a parallel shift. A deep longing began to stir within me—the desire to live more intentionally, to slow down and pay closer attention to the choices I was making each day. What started as a personal reawakening soon grew into a way of life, extending beyond myself and into how I showed up for my children. I wanted more than just survival—I wanted wholeness, health, and meaning.
This pursuit of a more grounded, purposeful life led to changes both practical and profound. It transformed the way I approached parenting, work, land stewardship, and community. And as I followed that path, I found others on a similar journey—people who were also choosing simplicity, sustainability, and soul-deep connection.
It was from these shared values and mutual support that the Mycorrhizal Network began to take root. Like the underground fungal networks that nourish and connect entire forests, this community of like-minded individuals grew quietly but steadily—each of us finding strength and nourishment in the unseen threads that linked us.
The Mycorrhizal Network isn’t just a name. It’s a living metaphor for how we grow: connected, resilient, and interdependent.

This is a Place of Teaching and Learning
This is more than just a space—it’s a living, growing community rooted in mutual respect and shared purpose. Here, we are committed to lifting one another up. We don’t come together to criticize, compete, or tear each other down. We come to share knowledge, offer support, and walk alongside each other in the journey of growth.
The name Mycorrhizal Network comes from a fascinating and beautiful phenomenon in nature. Mycorrhizae are beneficial fungi that form symbiotic relationships with the roots of trees and plants. These underground networks allow the sharing of nutrients, water, and even communication—strengthening the forest as a whole, not just individual trees.
That’s the vision I carry for this space. Just like that hidden web beneath the forest floor, I hope this network becomes a place where we connect, grow, and support one another in meaningful, life-giving ways. A place where wisdom is exchanged like nourishment, and where no one has to journey alone.
This community will remain active and alive for as long as I’m able to tend it. My hope is that it becomes a long-lasting resource—one that I and others can return to again and again. Whether you’re here to share, to learn, or simply to be reminded that you’re not alone, you are welcome.
Together, let’s grow something strong, enduring, and rooted in kindness.

🌿 The Mycorrhizal Network Mission Statement
The Mycorrhizal Network exists as a living, collaborative space where individuals come together to grow—spiritually, practically, and communally. Inspired by the undergroundfungal networks that nourish and connect forests, our vision is to cultivate a resilient community rooted in mutual support, shared learning, and intentional living.
We believe in lifting one another up, sharing wisdom like nutrients, and creating a space that we can return to again and again for connection, clarity, and encouragement. This network is built on respect, humility, and a deep commitment to growing stronger together—for the betterment of ourselves, our families, our land, and our future.
🌱 Community Guidelines
To ensure this space remains healthy and life-giving, we ask all participants to abide by the following principles:
1. Respect Others
We honor all voices. Engage with kindness, listen actively, and respond with thoughtfulness. Disrespectful or demeaning behavior will not be tolerated.
2. Encourage and Uplift
This is not a space for competition or criticism. We are here to support, inspire, and lift each other up.
3. Stay Rooted in Learning
Whether you’re just beginning or have years of experience, we all have something to teach—and something to learn. Approach discussions with curiosity and openness.
4. Share Generously, Credit Honestly
When sharing knowledge, recipes, ideas, or inspiration, credit your sources and share from a place of generosity—not self-promotion.
5. Keep It Constructive
Disagreements are natural, but always keep feedback constructive and solution-oriented. We build up here, not tear down.
6. Be Mindful of Tone
Text can lack tone and context—give others the benefit of the doubt, and when in doubt, ask for clarification before reacting.
7. Contribute to the Canopy
This network is only as strong as the roots we all put down. Stay engaged, offer help when you can, and celebrate the small wins together.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” – Proverbs 27:17
Together, may we grow deeper roots, form meaningful connections, and strengthen the whole through our shared presence.
“This is the true joy in life: Being used for a purpose recognised by yourself as a mighty one, being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little cod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I draw breath, it is my privilege to do for it what I can. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have to make burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.”
– George Bernard Shaw
