Good morning beautiful humans!
Today I went in to check on our Rabbit friends, and found that Hyrule has started pulling her hair out and making a nest! This means one thing! She’s expecting a litter!
But how could she be pregnant? I never had Link with her. Well more than likely our friends who gave us these rabbits had a male in with Hyrule at some point, so she was likely inseminated some time before she moved here with us.
Not the end of the world though! I have everything ready to go for a litter, I simply moved out her hutch and out in the nesting box, moved her nest into the nesting box and now we wait. It should only be a few days before she kindles(gives birth). So by this time next week we should have more rabbits!
I am grateful for the timing on this. Zelda won’t be ready to kindle for another 25 days yet. So it gives me some breathing room in between litters.
I will have to go to the feed store and get a whole lot more food though now ha. Our little family here is about to get a lot bigger! 6-9 stomachs bigger!
