Progress at WoodFrog Hollow: Rafters Raised!
Today marked a major milestone in the build.
With one frame already assembled and our truck-and-winch rig ready to go, I rallied the help of my parents to raise the first two rafters of eighteen. It was no small feat—requiring careful planning, creative problem-solving, and nerves of steel. One wrong move, and the entire frame could have collapsed—risking serious damage or injury.

But by the grace of God, everything went off without a hitch. His hand was clearly over us, steadying every lift and guiding each moment. I’m incredibly thankful. The rafters are now standing tall and strong—and they look fantastic.

As I climbed up to inspect them, I was struck by the view from the top. Absolutely stunning. The treetops, the horizon, the endless sky—it took my breath away. I couldn’t help but picture the future star-viewing platform we’ll build up there. I can already imagine Jaime and I lying under a blanket, telescope pointed heavenward, marveling at God’s creation.

One verse came to mind as I stood up there, looking out:
“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.”
— Psalm 127:1 (ESV)

Every beam, every bolt, every step forward at WoodFrog Hollow is only possible because of His provision.

And today, it truly felt like the house began to rise.
With dirt on my hands and hope in my heart.
