Gathering Around the Table

Food has always been more than work for me.

For over twenty years I’ve worked in kitchens of all kinds — from the pressure and rhythm of the line, to catering events, to running the pass as head chef. Those years taught me something simple but powerful:

Food is about people.

It’s about the table where conversations happen, where families reconnect, where celebrations are marked and memories are made. A well-prepared meal has a way of bringing people together in a way very few things can.

That’s something I’ve always loved about cooking.

Two Decades in the Kitchen

Over the last twenty years I’ve had the opportunity to work in many roles within the culinary world:

  • Line cook in fast-paced kitchens
  • Catering cook for events and functions
  • Head chef responsible for menu execution and service
  • Bread baker and instructor through workshops

Those experiences gave me a strong foundation not only in cooking, but in planning, organization, and execution — the parts of hospitality most guests never see, but always feel.

Good food doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens through preparation and attention to detail.

A Different Kind of Hospitality

These days my focus has shifted toward smaller, more personal gatherings.

Rather than large commercial events, I’m interested in private catering for intimate groups — the kinds of gatherings where food can truly be enjoyed and appreciated.

Events such as:

  • Family celebrations
  • Small weddings or rehearsal dinners
  • Private dinners
  • Community gatherings
  • Retreats or workshops

My current capacity is best suited for groups of up to about 30 people, where quality and attention can remain the focus.

A Note on Kitchen Space

At this time, I do not operate a commercial kitchen facility of my own.

What this means is that catering events would need to take place in locations where an appropriate kitchen is already available — such as:

  • Private homes with suitable kitchen space
  • Community halls
  • Churches or event spaces with licensed kitchens

This allows meals to be prepared safely and properly while still offering the warmth and personal feel of a private gathering.

A Simple Philosophy

My approach to cooking is straightforward:

  • Honest ingredients
  • Well-prepared food
  • Thoughtful menus suited to the occasion

I enjoy working with rustic, nourishing foods — breads, roasted meats, seasonal vegetables, and dishes that feel satisfying and genuine.

Food should be comforting, memorable, and shared.

If You’re Planning a Gathering

If you are planning a small event and are looking for someone to prepare the meal, feel free to reach out.

We can discuss:

Sometimes the most meaningful moments happen around a table.

And it would be a privilege to help prepare the meal that brings people there.

Good food gathers people. Hospitality keeps them there.
