₿ Why I’m Exploring Crypto — Stewardship in Uncertain Times
There are seasons in life when you have to think differently.
Legal battles are expensive. Prolonged ones even more so. And while I continue to work, build, and steward what’s in front of me — the A-frame, the livestock, the workshops — I’ve also been looking at alternative ways to generate and preserve value.
One of those ways is cryptocurrency.
Now, before anyone assumes I’ve become a day-trading gambler — let me be clear: that’s not the posture I’m taking.
I’m approaching crypto the same way I approach sourdough or living fencing:
Slowly.
Carefully.
With education first.
“The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.”
— Proverbs 22:3 (ESV)
Preparation is not panic. It’s stewardship.

🌍 Why Crypto Has Value
At its core, cryptocurrency offers:
- Decentralized financial control
- Protection against currency inflation
- Borderless transactions
- Personal custody of assets
- Transparency through public ledgers
Unlike traditional banking systems, crypto allows individuals to hold and transfer value without constant reliance on intermediaries.
For someone facing unpredictable legal expenses, that flexibility matters.
🛠 How I’m Using It
I’m not day trading.
I’m not chasing hype.
My approach is simple:
- Small, consistent contributions
- Long-term holding
- Focus on established projects
- Avoid leverage and speculation
If it grows — it becomes part of the fund to help offset lawyer fees.
If it doesn’t — I’ve treated it as tuition for financial education.
There is risk. Always.
But there is also opportunity.

⚖️ Risk, Wisdom, and Faith
Crypto is volatile. It can rise quickly and fall just as fast.
That’s why I never invest what I cannot afford to lose.
“For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?”
— Luke 14:28 (ESV)
Count the cost.
Understand what you’re doing.
Secure your accounts.
Use strong authentication.
Do your own research.
Stewardship applies here too.
🌿 Why This Fits the Mycorrhizal Mindset
Mycorrhizal networks in nature distribute resources underground — decentralized, resilient, adaptive.
Crypto mirrors that idea in the digital world:
A network, not a hierarchy.
Distributed trust, not centralized control.
It’s not a religion.
It’s a tool.
And tools, when used wisely, can help sustain a family through difficult seasons.
📌 If You’re Curious
If you’re interested in learning more, research thoroughly and choose a reputable exchange. Start small. Learn security practices. Understand volatility.
I am using Kraken to buy into the market because it has the lowest fees for an exchange in Canada, then I transfer it to my Ledger hardware Signer as Bitcoin(BTC) or Gold Tether(XAUT)

Signup for Kraken and get up to CA$100! Use invite code: 5yrdd947 or use this link: https://invite.kraken.com/JDNW/n4qtrimg

✨ Final Reflection
I don’t know how this chapter ends.
But I do know this: I will use every lawful, ethical tool available to protect my ability to provide, to build, and to stand.
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.”
— 1 Corinthians 3:6 (ESV)
Whether through land, livestock, bread… or digital assets — the growth ultimately comes from God.
Steward what you can. Prepare where you must. Trust always.
