Wowsers! What a day! I got up at 5am to get into town, shower and get ready for court at 930. I then spent all morning at court. Got out at noon. My next court date is Sept. 5th. I’ve got to figure some stuff out before then. Decoding all this lawyer lingo… Ha! Like deciphering a 5 year old’s secret language (they like to snicker and chuckle to each other when they say things that I don’t understand – like I’m a complete idiot for not going to law school) anyways! Ha.
As soon as I was done I got home and began working on the deck again since yesterday was a wash because of the inch of snow we had come down haha! I hauled a** today!
Here we go with ‘Exhibit A’. I was able to finish adding the foil insulation under the floor. Though with the amount I had I am just shy about 6 “cells” at the far end. Not the end of the world I can go get one last roll and add it later. So that was fun!
After that I started laying panels. Now I haven’t water sealed these panels as of yet I just wanted to lay them out like a puzzle and make sure I had enough to cover the entire deck and see how it was looking and feeling. And omi gosh! It feels amazing! There is ever so slight a slope up towards the front door but it is so minor you can’t notice it from walking on it. You can only visually see it from the ground looking across the deck. I am over the moon pleased with this so far!
So tomorrow after I finish work and get back out here I will begin sealing the underside and the edges of these panels; lay them down in place and fasten them down. Once they are all down I will then take the large floor roller and seal the panels top side as one large floor piece.
Once that is done, I will be laying down the vinyl flooring that I got for free from the local Co-op here, as well as all my throw rugs – which I’m going to have washed here before moving them back in.
I am so excited! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! The next step is to get the yurt back up – however I have opted to replace the roof rafters with something slightly heavier and a larger apex ring in the centre. This will take about a day or so to execute. So by mid next week I should be putting the walls and roof back on the Yurt and moving back in! I am so blessed!
Today’s reading: 1 Sam. 22,23,24 + Luke 14:1-24
Thanks for tuning in! Until next time, I love you all!
